1. Acceptance of Terms

By using the ExamLingo app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

2. Nature of the Service

ExamLingo is an independent preparation app for the STEP and IELTS exams. The app is not officially endorsed by, and is not affiliated in any way with, the actual owners of these two exams (Qiyas for the STEP exam, and IDP/British Council/Cambridge for the IELTS exam). The trademarks "STEP" and "IELTS" are mentioned only to describe the app's purpose (preparation compatibility), and are not a claim of official endorsement.

All content in the app is entirely original and produced specifically for it (see Section 5).

3. Accounts

• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials (email and password) confidential.
• Information entered at registration must be accurate.
• We reserve the right to suspend or delete any account used abusively or in violation of these terms.

4. Points System and Purchases

• The app uses an internal points system to unlock certain features (Speaking/Writing evaluation). Reading, Listening, and Grammar sections are free and unlimited.
• Purchasing points is done exclusively through the app store (Apple App Store / Google Play). Prices are shown in your local currency within the app as determined by the store.
• Points are a consumable digital product added to your balance immediately upon purchase, and do not expire except at the end of their associated subscription period.
• Refunds: all refund requests must be submitted directly to the app store (Apple or Google) and are subject to that store's own refund policy, since the store handles the entire payment process and we never receive any funds directly from you.

5. Intellectual Property of Content

• All Reading, Listening, Grammar, Writing, and Speaking questions available in the app are original content generated and produced specifically for the app, and are not copied from any official STEP or IELTS question bank.
• The app's content may not be copied or redistributed commercially without written permission.

6. Acceptable Use

The following are prohibited:

• Attempting to bypass screenshot protection or extract the question bank by any technical means.
• Using multiple fake accounts to circumvent the points system.
• Misusing the audio recording upload feature (content unrelated to the test, abusive content).

7. Content Accuracy Disclaimer

Educational content is carefully reviewed, but we do not guarantee that performance within the app fully and accurately reflects your actual result on the official exam. The app is a supplementary preparation tool, not a substitute for official preparation sources.

8. Limitation of Liability

The app is provided "as is" as a supplementary preparation tool. We are not liable for any indirect or consequential damages arising from its use, including — without limitation — results achieved on official exams. Our financial liability in any case shall not exceed the amount you actually paid during the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

9. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms. For any material change, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be updated, and users will be notified via an in-app notice.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the competent judicial authorities of the Kingdom shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
